The presidential flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 general elections, Atiku Abubakar has arrived in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital to visit former president Olusegun Obasanjo.

While details of the meeting are yet to be known, it may not be unconnected to him (Atiku) seeking support from the former president ahead of the 2019 elections.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo will be backing Atiku Abubakar, his former deputy, ahead of the 2019 presidential election, having described him as “President-to-be” following a meeting between the two men in Abeokuta, capital of Ogun State, on Thursday.

Joining Atiku at the meeting were his righthand man and former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, and Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the party; and, more notably, Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Kukah; islamic preacher, Dr. Ahmad Abubkaar Gumi; and Founder of Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo.
