Justice Benjamin Iheka of Imo state High Court, Owerri, Monday granted an interim order stopping the 7-man panel of inquiry constituted by the state Chief Judge on the state Deputy Governor Eze Madumere from sitting.
The Court adjourned to August 13, 2018 for accelerated hearing on the matter.
The embattled Imo State Deputy Governor is challenging the impeachment process against him by some members of the Imo state House of Assembly.
Madumere, a known close political associate of the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha is said to have fallen apart with his boss over the battle for succession in 2019.
